Washington WIC Program Remains Open and Funded Through November

Nutrition First, Washington’s WIC Association, is reassuring families that the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program remains open statewide and that food benefits are fully funded through November 2025.
WIC continues to be a vital resource for families, especially as many are facing the loss of SNAP benefits and other economic challenges. We want families to know that WIC food benefits remain available, and if you are not receiving WIC, it’s important to reach out now to ensure your local clinic can serve you.
Due to ongoing federal funding issues, some local WIC clinics may be impacted. Families are encouraged to contact their local WIC office as soon as possible to ensure uninterrupted access to benefits and support.
WIC serves pregnant and postpartum individuals, infants, and children under age five, providing healthy foods, breastfeeding support, nutrition education, and referrals to other community resources.
Currently, only 53% of eligible individuals in Washington participate in WIC. Nutrition First is urging families with young children 0-5 years old to call and see if you are eligible as soon as possible. Even if you haven't qualified for services before, if your income has decreased, you may qualify.
